The slim-designed photoelectric analog addressable smoke sensor, transmits its address and analog values from the sensor’s chamber to the Fire Control Panel for them to be analyzed. Inside of the sensor’s chamber there is a light pulse emitting LED and a photodiode. When smoke enters the chamber, the light pulse from the LED is diffused, and this is detected by the photodiode.
The sensor has a red LED, that flashes briefly when the device is sending information, and turns constantly on if the device indicates an alarm.
The Fire Panel also registers the type of detector on the given address, so if the type of head is changed without it being reprogrammed, an alarm will sound.
